Overview
For the Mamas, now in its infancy, is a non-profit organization that celebrates the brave remarkable women in our lives battling cancer--our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, cousins, relatives, friends, and members of our community. For the Mamas recognizes the impact of cancer on women in our community and exists to improve the quality of life for the women whose lives are affected by cancer and its treatment. Proceeds raised will be used to provide these women with massage, acupuncture, manicures, pedicures, chiropractic treatment, yoga, music lessons, art lessons, and more. Additional program offerings will include: education and information, classes on exercise, nutrition and stress reduction, and psychological support for these women and their families. For the Mamas recognizes and cherishes the mothers and women in our lives. We aim to be there for women in our lives with cancer, as they have been there for us.
For the Mamas was incorporated in Chicago, IL, in 2009, as a nonprofit, public, tax-exempt organization described in the Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3). Contributions to the foundation are tax deductible to the extent permitted by federal law.
